This is the fourteenth year I’ve released a Widdoes Vineyard designated Pinot Noir and although quantities are small the quality is exceptionally high. This Widdoes has a dark garnet color and solid red core. Aromas of pomegranate, cinnamon, blood orange, roasted hazelnuts, currants, plum, forest floor, underbrush and sage. Elegant restraint on the palate lures you in with good acidity and a mineral after taste. Tannins are ripe and smooth which should allow this pure flavored Pinot Noir to age for many years.
